Who we are
Embusa (“Embusa,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) is an independent, early-stage project operated by its founders. Embusa is not currently an incorporated company. The founders operating the project determine why and how personal information submitted through this website is used.
This policy applies only to this website and its current landing-page features. It does not describe a future Embusa product or service that has not yet been launched.

Information we collect
We collect the following categories of information:
- Alpha access requests: your email address, selected current role, and how you heard about Embusa.
- Demo requests: your full name, work email address, and company. You may also provide your role, sector, how you heard about Embusa, and notes about your current tooling, requirements, or interests.
- Website analytics: anonymized page-view information such as the page visited, timestamp, referring site, filtered query parameters, approximate location, browser, operating system, and device type. Vercel Web Analytics does not use cookies and does not associate these data points with a named person or an IP address. Its visitor hash resets daily.
- Technical and security data: our hosting provider may process request information such as IP address, user agent, requested URL, request time, and response status to deliver, secure, and troubleshoot the website.
- Theme preference: if you choose light, dark, or system theme, that preference is saved in your browser’s local storage.

How we use information
We use information collected through the website to:
- respond to alpha access and demo requests;
- understand who is interested in Embusa and tailor follow-up conversations;
- prevent duplicate submissions, spam, abuse, and security incidents;
- operate, troubleshoot, and improve the website;
- understand aggregate website traffic and content performance; and
- comply with applicable legal obligations.
We currently use the email address you submit only to communicate about your request. We do not add it to an unrelated marketing list.
Where data-protection law requires a legal basis, we rely on taking steps at your request, our legitimate interests in operating and improving this early-stage project, consent where requested, and compliance with legal obligations.

Storage and service providers
Alpha and demo submissions are stored in a managed PostgreSQL database provided by Neon. The website and its form endpoint are hosted by Vercel, which also provides Web Analytics. Your theme preference remains in your own browser and is not included in the form submission.
These providers process information on our behalf to provide hosting, database, security, and analytics services. Their infrastructure may process or store data in countries other than the country where you live, subject to their contractual and legal safeguards.

Data retention
We have not yet adopted a fixed retention period. Alpha and demo submissions are retained while reasonably needed to evaluate and respond to the request, manage interest in the project, maintain necessary records, or meet legal obligations. You may ask us to delete your submission sooner, subject to any information we must retain by law or for legitimate security and record-keeping needs.
Vercel’s visitor-identification hash is automatically discarded after 24 hours. Aggregated analytics data is retained according to the project’s Vercel settings. Your theme preference remains in local storage until you change it, clear your browser data, or your browser removes it.

Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to request access to, correction of, deletion of, or a copy of your personal information. You may also have the right to object to or restrict certain processing, withdraw consent where processing relies on consent, and complain to your local data-protection authority.
We may need to verify your identity before completing a request. These rights may be subject to exceptions under applicable law.

Cookies and browser storage
The current website does not use cookies for analytics, advertising, or sign-in. Vercel Web Analytics measures traffic without cookies and does not track visitors across different websites or different days. You can read more in Vercel’s Web Analytics privacy documentation.
We use local storage only to remember whether you selected system, light, or dark theme. This preference is not used to identify you or follow your activity.

Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures intended to protect the information we handle, including managed hosting and database providers and restricted access to submitted data. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Children
This website is intended for a professional cybersecurity audience and is not directed to children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16. If you believe a child has submitted information, please contact us so we can review and delete it where appropriate.

Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the website, project, or legal requirements change. We will publish the updated policy on this page and change the effective date. If a change materially affects how previously submitted information is used, we will take reasonable steps to provide additional notice where required.
